Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using HomeKeep at homekeep.co.za, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What HomeKeep is

HomeKeep is a personal home-management tool that lets you record paint colours, light fittings, and asset/warranty details for properties you own or manage. It is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must not share your account with others or use another person's account without permission.
• Notify us immediately at info@homekeep.co.za if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Free and paid plans

HomeKeep offers a free tier with limited features and paid upgrade tiers available as a once-off payment. Paid plans unlock additional properties, rooms, and asset records. Plan limits are described on the pricing page and within the app.

Once-off payments are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy. There are no recurring charges.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use HomeKeep for any unlawful purpose.
• Upload files that contain malware, illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
• Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the servers or infrastructure of HomeKeep.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of all data, notes, and files you upload to HomeKeep. By uploading content, you grant HomeKeep a limited licence to store and display that content to you as part of the service. We do not use your content for any other purpose.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep HomeKeep available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We will endeavour to notify users of planned downtime where possible.

8. Limitation of liability

HomeKeep is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for any loss of data, loss of income, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service. HomeKeep is a convenience tool — always keep your own records for important warranty or insurance documentation.

9. Account termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting info@homekeep.co.za. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. If we shut down HomeKeep entirely, we will give at least 30 days' notice via email and provide a way to export your data.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify users by email. Continued use of HomeKeep after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
